I used mine, and it definitely did not feel rock & roll at all.

True, and it was a very cool thing when it did. Definitely the highlight of the Live 8 shows.

Although they sounded great, and I enjoyed, I still can't get past those F****** idiots on MTV and VH1 who talked through THE ENTIRE FREAKING SHOW. Another reason to hate that ****.

I'm not bitter about that at all.

Haha. No, you don't sound bitter, at all...

I did not watch it on MTV. I think I caught all the coverage on Fuse. In any event, whatever I was watching there were not people talking over the whole thing. That does sound very much like the last decade or so of MTV, however.

Yeah, I almost feel like I don't want them together again now. Because without Rick it still isn't Pink Floyd. IMO he was just as vital to the equation.

You are probably right. Especially when David Gilmour's consistent response is "it ain't gonna happen" or something about how he is in his sixties now and not interested in keeping the Pink Floyd thing going anymore and the Live 8 performance being a nice punctuation mark for the band.

I know this is not going out on a limb at all, but my guess is that the "one show" he shows up to to perform will be right there in the UK.

I'm sure it would be a cool show.....I HATE arena shows though.....maybe Ill just dig out Live At Pompeii.

"Can I get pie without the crust please"-----'Pie without the crust!' yells an attendant..... (favorite Pompeii scene)
