First Gig New Amp - Part 2

Also got a 64 Vibroverb Reissue. I owned one of these when they first came out and sold for a good chunk of change. Found a GREAT deal on eBay and snatched it up. V2 and V4 upgraded to NOS GE. NOS GE AX7 in PI slot (drives output tubes harder). NOS STR387 6L6's. This is replacing an Allen Old Flame 2X10 (also a GREAT amp). Volume on 4, the amp was just starting to cook. Needed pedals with this one to drive it over the edge, but hey, it's not a channel switcher. Very lush, thick tone. Very full, but Strat sound like strat. Many compliments by peers and laymen on tone. Lots of bass, enough high end without being shrill, mids less scooped with "modified" switch ON. Diode rectifier to keep bass tight. Filled the room (unmiked gig) with great strat tones. Favorite pedal was my OCD (KOT on the way) set on LP. Another great amp. Now I have to decide for each gig: Zingaro or Vibroverb? Life is tough (just kidding).

I had a brown Vibroverb RI in the early 90's.
Wonderful amp.
I very often gigged it through a Marshall 212 cab loaded with Celestion 70'.
Dime the volume and it was .
Ofcoarse, I also ran it sometimes with a The Rat pedal without the Marshall cab when I had to watch the volume.
One of my fav Tele amps.
