Post Post a topic, but totally use the wrong smilies appreciation thread ! ! 11!!

Hi there, today we are going to talk about how to pack a guitar for shipment!

1. Foist, you find yourself a good sturdy box that fits the guitar case.

2. Before putting teh guitar in the case, you really should put a set of fresh strings on it because who wants to buy a guitar with your old dead skin DNA all over it?

3. While you have the strings off, get a clean cotton cloth and some guitar polish, then clean the guitar body and polish it so it looks nice and shiney!

4. Put the strings on and tune it up. Stretch the strings, plug into an amp and play a few things, switching pickups and making sure everything works fine.

5. Loosen the strings a bit and set aside.

6. Clean the case out, or vacuum out if it was your dog's bed or something. Make sure all the keys and accessories are in the pocket.

7. Bubble wrap any trem arm and bag and bubble wrap any hardware. Put it in the pocket so in case it comes loose, it won't damage the guitar body.

8. Lay guitar in the case. If it's a Gipsom, support the neck enough so the headstock isn't laying against the bottom of the case. Shim up any looseness or slop with padding making sure it's not going to attack or damage any nitro finish. Latch the case up good and tight.

9. Dump some padding in the bottom of the box, dump the guitar and case in there. throw the shipping address /contact info inside the box as a backup, slide any extra padding on the sides of the case if possible, put some padding on the top and seal the box with some good packing tape.

10. Take the guitar to FexEx or whoever and have em ship the darn thing. Make sure you send the tracking number to the buyer as soon as you get home.

* make sure to take pictures and / or video of the guitar and all the functions and packing procedure so you have proof of the condition and quality of packing just in case of loss or damage.

Thank you for reading this far.

OK, this saturday morning let me tell you about a most delicious breakfast you can make for your family!

First make a pot of coffee, this is basic to any good breakfast.

Then you get out the box of bisquick and whip up pancakes according to the directions!

THEN cut some grapefruit in half and either pre-trim all the sections, or let them do it for themselves later.

Then fry some bacon and arrange it neatly on each plate next to the pancakes!

Then call the family to breakfast and feel the glow of the appreciative comments you will get!

I get so tempted to post a response that belongs in another thread. Like mailing the gas bill to the electric company.
