Princeton speaker leads question

I realize variations of this have been asked before, but I couldn't find an answer to this specific question and google pics wasn't helping.

I put a new speaker in my '74 Princeton. Didn't remember to look which leads went where.

I've got white and black wires that go to red and non colored (metal) connections. Which wire goes to what connection?

Hi Geetar Will, maybe i could help. I just checked my 79 PR speaker connection. The white lead goes to +,red or positive speaker lead. The black goes to neg. or - speaker lead. I hope this help. Another option if your not sure is to use a 9 volt battery. If you notice that the cone of speaker is bouncing towards you or out, then you know you have it right. Hope it help.

On a single speaker setup it doesn't matter. It will only matter if you attach a second speaker (then they could be out of phase with each other if this is wired incorrectly). Usually white goes to positive and black to negative.
