Silverface Champ Head Conversion Project and Speaker Questions

So I was starting to get a little annoyed with my Champ's internal speaker not playing so well with my humbuckers (sounded really great with my single coils though) so I decided to build a box for it to be used as a head.

I used all the original hardware and after thinking about staining it, I opted for covering it with off-white canvas and brown burlap....for now at least. I didn't account for the fabric adding enough mass for the front panel to not fit, so I have to sand the sides down a bit and re-cover, but other than that quick fix I'm loving it.

I'm going to be pairing it with a 1x12 cab for now, may look into something bigger if and or when I start gigging again, but since I'm just recording at this point, a single speaker should be sufficient.

My only question now is what 4 ohm speaker(s) to look in to? I want something that's going to help with a good clean tone, and I'm trying to keep it somewhat cheap ($100 would be great) as I'm going to be buying a cabinet as well.

Thanks in advance for suggestions!

I like the Weber Signature alnico. I used 2 of the 10S speakers in the cab for my champ and they sound great. One Alnico 12S would be $45 too.

That would be really cool, but I completely forgot to mention that I need a 4 ohm speaker. I did take a look at some other Weber products though and it seems like they have a ton of options. Thanks for pointing me in their direction!

I was thinking about why I couldn't run my SFPR through a 210...
I really couldn't think of a reason why not.
Great project.
