The Thanks Thread!

It's nice occasionally to have a positive thread and to give thanks to those who go above and beyond in the pursuit of others' happiness. In that vein, I just wanted to give kudos to Bjorn Juhl of BJFE. You will likely never find a builder who will feel more like a friend to you, even from half a world away. Not only is his brilliance evident in the many amazing pedals he has designed and his posts here, but his heart shines through in every transaction.

Feel free to drop a comment to Bjorn or another small builder that deserves some love.

Thanks man!

Disclaimer: I have owned or own the DRD, HBOD, SHOD, Model H v1 and 2, SGD, EGDM, PGC and some of Bjorn's more special sauce ...

That has been my experience as well. Bjorn is always so pleasant, accommodating, and complimentary in his email correspondence. If only my close friends, family members, and coworkers would say half as many nice things about me as he does in a single chain of emails...

Well, I would have to say that Dan at T1M and Erksin from Catalinbread have been enormously helpful to me on this board, and in official correspondence.

Dan is a genuinely knowledgable, helpful guy, who doesn't answer your questions in such a way to infer that your only solution is to buy a product of his.

Erksin is, well...a genuinely knowledgable, helpful guy, who doesn't answer your questions in such a way to infer that your only solution is to buy a product of his.

Thanks guys, you both rock.

Dan at T1M, of course. Brian Wampler also - killer pedals & a nice, humble dude, who has forgotten more about tone & pedal building than I'll ever know...

I would add Kevin H. (Kevin Hifi, I think) to the list. Very nice guy who makes a couple of really cool pedals; I'm surprised not to see more Choad (or Chord) Blasters on pedalboards in those threads. Just my 2 cents,

T

There are several guys that are incredibly talented and friendly, really caring about their customers and their desires/needs. Plus, they make incredible wares!

Dan at T1M is great, just set me up with my new Eventide Aux Switch in record time.

Mark from B.A.T. also has some of the best customer service skills ever. I've had the pleasure of hanging out with him quite a bit, fun times!

Ryan aka Dr. Scientist is a top notch fella!

Tom Dalton at Fuzzhugger is another super dude!

Jamie at EQD rules!

Kyle at Blackout is yet another standout.

Drasp is a great guy also, very friendly with the best DL4 mods I've tried. Bedroom Boards is another great one from Drasp!

Brian at ss/bs keeps the list growing.

Finally, Ethan, Terry and everyone else at Strymon have been amazing, especially in recent times with the mad Timeline rush! They've somehow managed to keep up with the service end while struggling to meet the insane demand for their new pedal.

+1, and, as you might guess, I'd add Greg @Solid Gold FX who, along with Kyle, has earned my undying loyalty with that two-headed beast of amazing products and customer service above and beyond.

That said, two other builders I've dealt with who also were awesome are Paul C. and Stu Castledine (sp?).

I'm not omitting anybody; these are really the only four builders I've dealt with at any length, but they've all been great. -E

Thanks to Analogman for a gazillion different reasons. Mainly, for putting his customers first. Most companies don't do that these days.

The guy's at Lava couldn't be more customer focused and helpful, and the same goes for Mike at Analogueman.

Although, as ever, thankfully there are more good guy's out there than bad.
