There's a simple reason for that: they're awesome.

Although the lower horn on Stroker Ace's tele looks like it could use a viagra.

Best American rock band of the last decade or so. First post-Isbell album was a slight drop off, but the latest one is back to form now that they've realised that Shonna's good for a few change-of-pace tunes.

Jason Isbell's solo stuff is also great.

Everytime I see your nick my first thought is "WTF? I don't remember posting this."

Especially pertinent this time since I'd say pretty much the exact same thing you just did.

IMO they are the best straight up rock band currently going.

my analogy is that their latest albums are like books or magazines, I read them a few times and enjoy it. Afterwards i put them on the shelf. The albums seem like stories, great lyrics through out.

While I like their later stuff, the Decoration Day, Dirty South was their pinnacle IMO. Those 2 albums are all time favs.

It seems like everything the truckers touch turns to musical gold. They are extremely good writers. A buddy spent 3 months trying to convince me to give them a full listen and when I finally did I was hooked. Patterson and Mike are phenomenal and the rest of the band is nothing short of the perfect match. They seem to really fit together. And not to mention how can a band not be badass when they own a plot on the jack daniels plantation.

While I love the Isbell era, the Big To Do and Go-Go Boots have stayed in pretty heavy rotation with me. I thought it was pretty cool that they finally embraced the whole Muscle Shoals soul thing on Go-Go Boots.

This is a mirage. Everyone knows there is no real rock music in 2011. Nothing out there but Gaga and Bieber.

DBT is one of my favorite bands. I do feel that they have dropped off since Isbell left though. Isbell's new band the 400 Unit is phenominal! In my opinion they rock much harder than the Truckers.

I couldn't agree more with both of these statements. I love DBT but I feel like their best days are behind them. Jason Isbell and the 400 unit however, are carrying the torch now IMO.

Great band! One of my favs....I just kinda miss Isbell.

I went to see them here locally a few years back and went to my friends' restaurant to hang out before the show. I turned around and bam...there they are, sitting at a table right behind me. I didn't bother them but it was cool to see them just sitting there eating dinner.
