Musicomlab EFXIII Midi Control of Strymon Timeline

Does anyone know how to get the Musicomlab EFX to change the Timeline to presets 128 through 199? The instruction manual says the "Midi Patch Bank" needs to be set at a value of "1" instead of "0" to get to that preset range.

I have no idea whether the Musicomlab can do that, nor how to do it. Can anybody help with step-by-step instructions?

BTW, I can set Timeline presets 0-127 on the Musicomlab just fine.

I'm curious too about that. I recently grabed up an FX MKII, and I'm thinking
about buying a Timeline especialy to be able to control it via midi with the MKII.

I guess that you can send midi program change to the Timeline via the musicomlab fx MkII so you can make presets with a specific patch on the TL.

I hope this is possible?

Yes you can. The problem I am running into is that the Musicomlab can only send midi program changes up to 127. I don't know how to make presets on the Musicomlab to access patches 128-200 on the Timeline.

Not that having *only* 127 different Timeline presets accessable from the Musicomlab is a huge problem, but still, it would be nice to be able to preset all 200.

musicomlab efx with Strymon timeline

Hi there,
I'm new in this forum and I'd like to know if somebody can help me?

After reading the instruction i don't see any procedure to change the channel of my timeline using a Musicomlab efx 3+...

this is the answer from Strymon:

Hi Sten,

Thanks for supporting Strymon!

The TimeLine is basically built to just wait and listen for MIDI commands. There really issn't anything you need to set up aside from making sure you have the correct MIDI channel selected for both the TimeLine and your MIDI controller.

You can check that int eh TimeLine's Global Parameters menu. Other than that, it's more about you learning how to send the correct MIDI commands out of your MIDI controller so I'd suggest you refer to that manual to learn how to do that. Thanks!

doesn't really help to me

thanks.
Sten

From the manual:

"To access patches 0-127 via MIDI, send regular program change messages. To access patches 128 to 199, first send a MIDI Patch Bank message (CC# 0) with a value of 1, then the program change message."

Problem is, I don't think the EFX will send CCs on a preset basis... what you could try is have it send CC# 0 message when FS1 is on, then just use the same PC0-127 messages
