covering material for pedalboard?

Anyone know of a good carpet/cloth to cover a pedalboard? It needs to be any color as long as it's black, and velcro has to stick to it very well. I thought this would be a no brainer until I bought some inexpensive black carpet and velcro hardly sticks to it at all!

Help!

Dan

sorry to hear...personally, i'd paint the board a flat matte black and use Dual Lock. :-)

I got 50 pieces of dual lock (2" x 5" rectangles) for 30.00...

that being said, i'd recommend going over to Home Depot and getting their commercial grade velcro stuff. works awesome.

Trunk liner from an auto upholstery store. Cheapest stuff you will find, and works great. Most places have different colors, thicknesses, and velcro stickiness...so take your velcro along to test.

Or boat carpeting. It's pretty cheap and very durable. It is the stuff you find in fishing boats (ones that have carpet, anyway). It is pretty cheap.

Thanks everyone. I looked around at some carpet stores and found some black auto/marine carpeting that velcro sticks to nicely for .78 sq ft.

I appreciate all the suggestions.
