NBD: Guild Pilot w/ Bartolini Pups

I just picked up a used 1990/1991 Guild Pilot bass w/ Bartolini pickups. I'm an electric guitar player and needed an inexpensive bass for recording. This bass sounds really good with a lot of tonal variations. Anybody have info/comments on these Guild Pilots? BTW, this is USA made!

NICE bass!!!

I had an 86 Guild Pilot 5 with EMGs - a great bass, solid flame maple, but needed a new amp rig more!

Had an '86 fretless that I bought new. Unreal bass (w the EMGs). Mine was a P/J, electric blue.

These are terrific basses, generally. Real sleepers, still...

They're easy to find if you don't mind gambling on the 'bay.

No Ebay for me. I stopped patronizing that site. But, I'll have to first get used to my 5 string pilot!
