Two Rock Amps Sold at Musicians Friend...

As much as I wish Two Rock amps were in more specialty dealer "store locations", will seem odd to see them merchandised by an online mass merchant retailer...... is Guitar Center stores next? Is quality control going to suffer?

Whoa! Well, I've seen maybe two in the past couple years on their used section, surprisingly, along with a couple rather nice Alessandros, and they do eventually sell.

We'll see. I think it would be sad day in many ways, possibly hurting TR's rep more than anything, but not necessarily quality provided the corporate machine doesn't force builders to compromise based on profit margins and price points (like Wal mart does).

The ability to hit our local shop and play some high end, well-built amps would be nice for those of us who don't live close to a god boutique shop and can't travel much to begin with. It would certainly beat trying to "flip" gear, except that there's still no substitute for having it for an extended period in the home instead of for an hour in the shop.

Well, now you can try it for 45 days and return it if you don't like it...Soldano has been sold by MF for years, so why should it matter? There's always one constant in the universe...change...

They don't make Two Rocks like they used to.

Any facts to back up this conclusion? I've played the new ones and I own a few older ones. Quality control has not suffered IMO, and the options have increased for less money. A win for everyone involved except for those who like the exclusivity of owning a hard to get overpriced amp. Most players like the fact that they can buy a Two Rock for about $2K now, and a used one for $1700.
