AB165 Bias Mod

I did a Gear Page Google search for this info but couldn't find anything.

I have a 69 Bassman AB165 and I'd like to keep the bias balance but also make the bias adjustable. Seems like a good idea to me. I found this in the archives of another forum (Ampage) as a way to do it.

"Replace the 15k resistor to ground with a 10k resistor and a pot wired as a variable resistor. They should be connected in series and the pot should be a 22 or 25k linear or something like that, maybe even 47 or 50k."

I'm assuming he's talking about the 15K resistor that runs from one of the legs of the bias balance pot to the bias balance pot casing. Not being an electronics expert I don't know if this will work or not. What do you guys think? If it'll work, how many turns do you suggest for the bias pot? How should I wire the new pot, new 10K resistor to leg 1 on the pot and leg two to ground? Anything else I'm missing?
