Amp/effects question
Anyone have/had a Mesa Lonestar 1x12 classic and run a bunch of pedals in front of it? Thinking about selling my Marshall DSL 50 for one...
Would be using it for post-rock. Any insight would be awesome |

On a more constructive note, I have an LSS (Lone Star Special) which works really well with pedals. You could try the boogie board for some opinions on the LS classic, although things can be a little slow over there. I think you should consider why you want to sell the Marshall. I say that because the Lonestars have a different tone and you may get frustrated by the lack of highs on the Lonestar compared to the Marshall. Of course that may be the reason why you are looking to change, just saying that the Lonestars can be a bit dark on the drive channel. They are also stupidly heavy. |

Post-rock is like ambient/driving music. Lots of delay, clean and overdriven.
Oh and thanks for trying to help and not just put google... |

Anyway, isn't the clean channel of the LSC very Fender-y in nature? That seems like a perfect fit for post-rock. For example: Explosions in the Sky uses silverface Fenders with drive pedals (like the Sansamp GT2) for gain. |
