Leadership
I was on the drop zone when then BG McChrystal jumped as young Captain on Sep 11, 2001 as part of the Airborne and Special Operations Test Directorate - he jumped with the XVIII Airborne Corps commmander - we were talking pictures and he was jumping with our unit. We called the the plane prior to the jump to inform them what had just happened and the CG decided to jump. We got pictures of most eveyone as they jumping, and my boss later had one picture of the CG blown up and he signed it with gold pen so he would know where he was on 9-11.
It was inspirational me to me that they chose to jump....

Thanks...it was kind of cool as I listened to him open his talk with this story about this jump and then realized I saw him on the drop zone that day and had actually been the one who coordinated the jump, and then notified the guys who were working for me to call (I may may have made the call, I cannnot remember for sure) the the aircraft from our vehicle on the drop zone to infrom them that the the planes had just hit the towers...
Under direction from my boss I sped to the drop zone to make sure they were informed.... (I was the Operations Officer for the unit he jumped with)
