Stereo Reverb Pedal

So I'm looking for a stereo reverb to put after my looper (Rang III) and before I make a choice, I wanted to make sure I examined all possibilities. So far I have checked out:

- BSR
- Stereo Wet
- HOF
- RV-5
- RV-7
- Fishman AFX Reverb
- Behringer DR600
- Behringer Reverb Machine
- Verbzilla
- Nova Reverb
- EHX Cathedral

I already have a Space, so that option is off the list

I would love to get some outside input on this and if it is any consolation, I am an ambient/shoegazer/post-rock player

I suggest cathedral.
Most musical reverb for me out there. (and I played through a lot to get to that one)

Love all the modes, love the "grail flerb", love the "feedback" knob.

Good for anything i've tried it with and awesome for post-rock stuff.

(was thinking about going for the RV-5 but I liked the extra knobs and the presets function for every mode.)

My Dutch-all-around-jazz-friend plays with the nova reverb and I had the chance to play with that one lots of times as well....all i can say is, it is just not the same as the EHX one :P..

(i think most of the EHX pedals have more feeling to them,and when it comes to reverb that really counts for me)

The only stereo reverb I've had was the EHX Cathedral, and it was awesome. In fact, I rather miss it. Worth trying out if you can. The infinite reverb is awesome, I now use a Freeze with a Boss FRV-1 to simulate it.

Aye...totally agree on that. The infinite reverb thingy is an awesome trick to have along with all your other post-rock-ish stuff.

I agree.

Maybe I should also say that I have a freeze, and the new beta for the Space, so I'm not 100% concerned about the freeze and/or infinite reverb

but I still appreciate the input!!!!

I'm fond of the Hardwire RV-7. Good sounds, good buffering in stereo. It's the last piece in my SansAmp-based signal chain and sounds great.

Love my HOF. I just put the White Lies cathedral toneprint on there last night and I have no idea who the White Lies are, but it's the best toneprint setting I've tried. I don't run in stereo, but in mono the pedal is great.

+1. If I needed a reverb pedal again it would be a HOF. Great sound and the toneprint idea is awesome.

The Wet pedal is simply awesome. It's a sort of one trick pony but what a trick that is! For it's small footprint it offers a huge ambient sound landscape that is unlike any other reverb I've heard.

Another vote for the Cathedral. I'm no reverb connoisseur, but I honestly can't ask for anything more out of it.

I found the reverse mode disappointing however. Sounds very digital-y, but I guess it works at lower volumes/blend levels

The best inexpensive stereo reverb I own is a Lexicon Alex. I have seen them for sale here for under $100.It's the model Jeff Beck is using on the Live at Ronnie Scott album.

For me its the BSR hands down. I've owned several off of your list and none compare to the BSR. The Shimmer and Modulation modes are amazing and even more so in stereo. All of the basic reverbs are great as well.
