Unhappy Replacement LP Jr. Tailpiece/Studs wont fit...HELP!

So heres my problem, I bought a set of Pigtail tailpiece studs and their aluminum tailpiece for my historic LP Jr. and they don't fit the way the stock Gibson one does. The pigtail studs came with bushings, but after seeing that they screwed into the stock ones I didn't think there would be any issues. Heres where I get confused...when I go to put the tailpiece on, its too tight There appears to be about a 1/16" or 1/8" gap to where it would be impossible to put the tailpiece on both studs. Now, I guess you could say why not just put the stock studs on and use those? Well they have a about a 1/16" gap from top to bottom where the tailpiece sits in there so it isn't snug, which is how this all started in the first place. After looking at pictures of other peoples Juniors equipped with Pigtails and they seem fine, I don't know why mine is being such a pain in the ***. So I'm not really sure what I should do here. Heres some pictures (please excuse the quality, they were taken from my phone)

Here's the Pigtail. It is pushed as close to the stud as it can go.
