You say your 1960A sounds VERY thin?
Then something is wrong, a 6505+ and a standard Marshall cab should not sound thin. |

Ok, just like I originally thought. Nope I just want to try the other cab to see if its less thin. Thanks!
And yeah... I am wondering why it sounds thin. I did have the peavey hooked up before and sounded better to me... What would make it sound thin? I have two 6505+'s and it sounds the same so it has to be the cab. |

lol no I am in St. Louis Mo., and no only a half stack. I am currently trying to figure out which cab sounds better. So far the Peavey is OWNING the Marshall. And I am in disbelief. So maybe something is wrong with the Marshall... Its very thin compared to the peavey 4X12M cab.

BTW With parallel connections between speakers (and cabs) you half the impedance 16ll16=8ohms. (Two wires between the speakers pos to pos, neg to neg.)With serial connection (one wire between the speakers, neg to pos) you double it 16+16=32ohms. Your Marshall has two pairs of 16 ohm speakers 16ll16=8ohms, the pairs are separate in stereo mode (for running two amps into one cab). The mono mode connects the two 8ohm pairs in parallel for 4ohms (8ll8=4ohm) or serial for 16ohms 8+8=16ohms. EDIT If you connect the amp with two leads into the stereo 8ohm holes you have 8ll8=4ohms so set the amp for 4ohms... not 8ohms.
