Newbie wire question
I received some wire from Weber but it looks like I got mostly solid 22 cloth wire. (Wire, cloth covered, black, #22 stranded) and a few other colors. I also got some Wire, Teflon coated, red, #22 stranded and Wire, cloth covered, green, #18 solid. Will this do? I figure I can use the cloth covered, green, #18 solid wire for filiment circuits.
Of the 3 last amp builds Ive completed Ive used mostly a variety of stranded wire so im not too familiar with using the solid stuff. I assume this will do just fine? |

Generally, with the cloth covered wire, don't try to strip the insulation when terminating it, just push the insulation back to expose the conductor.
Good luck with the teflon wire, that tends to be quite hard to strip Pete. |

Thanks all. I found I hate the cloth stuff already. What a pain.

Depends on the cloth wire. Some is amazing, others are not.

the push back stuff with a little give is real good. push it back and then it pops up to cover some of the joint...
the stuff with no give is a pain.
