I came across that video years ago when I was curious about the Carvin Legacy. I love his tone and playing on that video and it almost prompted me to buy one of those amps.

I'm not surprised by the audience reaction. I'm sure most of them went to the mall to go shopping, not watch a band. It seems like that was a "background music" kind of gig.

I play for a decent touring type hard rock/metal group for my main gig

thanks for watching everyone
Great playing in that video Ty. FWIW, you need to tour with that group and bring those dancers on tour with you.

Maggot Brain (?). Great playing.

The audience..."Out of the mouth of babes", I guess.....who cares if it's a mall, where is it 'suppose' to be?

It's the new trend in California: SHRED SHOPPING.

I liked the tone a lot, that's actually a better tone than Vai gets himself. Fatter with more sustain yet had some dynamics too.

Great playing.

For some reason I was feeling like they were from the same town as Bill and Ted (from Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure)...

I thought the playing was really good, but you have to know your audience. Some gigs just aren't worth taking.

I thought the video was pretty funny. The playing was good, even if a little out of place. I would rather play for a few kids having a blast than a roomful of uptight people.

How time flies, I originally posted this thread around the time I got my wife preggo. Someone recently dug this thread up, and I now have a little girl who will be two in a few months.

Funny, my little girl has many of the same dance moves as the little girls in the video. I certainly look at that video differently today than I did when I posted it.
