Well, it has been a truly exhausting week. Yesterday we spent the afternoon & evening at the funeral home and accepted condolences from something like 300 people. We knew our son was loved, but my God I leanred so much more about him this week with all the experiences people shared.

Today he was laid to rest in the cemetery, which is about a 15 minute drive from our house. My wife and I are very troubled with feelings of guilt, that we didn't do enough. We've been told this is normal, and we shouldn't do it, but I think it's something we have to work through over time.

Our congregation has been incredible. People slept overnight in our home for the first four nights, until we felt we were OK. There's been so many people here, and so much food here. We've never felt so loved.

Thank you all for your expressions. Very touching.

My heart goes out to you and you wife. I lost a close childhood friend in '87 - he was just 23...so sad.
