@ Jrockbridge-On real critical stuff it's possible to mic a Monitor near the woofer ( even at low volume ) and record that on a Parallel track and mix a little in at mixdown for even more realism if you want a little mic time smear and air etc.- doesn't take much( can be mixed in subtly and eq'd )- when you're sounding this good already.

Actually he might be able to try and replicate a similar thing by using a stereo cab block (not sure what cab<s> he is using for this patch) and set the delay time on one of the cabs to taste. I have been messing with this feature and it's pretty cool. I think it replicates using multiple cabs and having one close mic'd, one with the mic further away?

Headphones are nothing special. $200 Sennheiser headphones from guitar center. Honestly, I need to get better ones. The ones I use are a bit bassy and smooth too much treble.

Just get one (axefx). I was on the fence for a while as well. I had just sold my vintage Hiwatt Halfstack and was sitting on the cash. I was extremely happy with my Marshall gig-rig and didn't think I needed an axefx. But I took the plunge assuming i'd just sell it if I didn't like it (since they are holding their value right now).

As you can tell, i'm very happy I did. This thing is a monster. The parameters WORK.

I hate to keep saying it, but I don't know how yet. I also want to take a bit more time to fine tune these. I know it sounds crazy, but I've only had the unit a week and there are still a few tiny things that I want to try.

Excellent! I would love to know how you go about dialing in a patch like "Voodoo Chile" and selfishly acquire the patches as I have never heard the Axe2 sound so "Fenderish!"

I'll give you one big hint: Keep the Xformer Match at 2.0 to simulate a 4ohm tranny into a 8ohm load.

Get borne sys ex or use axe edit. Go to utility menu look for back up preset to usb. Do it nao!
