On a side note, I haven't yet tried the "recommended" strings (GHS Burnished Nickel), but I just got a set to try when the Pyramid Nickel Classics I have on the guitar now get tired. Anyone have any experience with what if anything the GHS bring to the party? (Or are they just the acceptable strings Stefan can easily obtain at a reasonable price to string 'em up with?)

That's hot! Is that a battery box on the back?

Since having my D'Pergo Limited (last August) I can say that that guitar will never leave the house.
It's definitely the only guitar I won't sell, ever!
The best guitar I've ever played and it's getting better and better....

I have used the Burnished Nickel GHS strings quite a bit. Some love them and others hate them, there doesn't seem to be an in between view. They are much darker, or less bright, sound broken in. I sometimes have a hard time when they are new, getting a smooth eq from the bright unwound strings and the "played in" wound strings.

Chuck Thornton recommend I try them on my Thorton Fusion too. I may try them soon on this guitar.

WARNING: one final thought. Many like the GHS Burnished Nickel strings because they bend easier. THIS IS BECAUSE THEY HAVE LESS TENSION. Put them on a guitar will require a quick set uo, ie truss rod adjustment.

I assume, from your wall, that you've had many other good strat-types, would you mind giving us a frame of reference? Some of the others, that you enjoyed, that this has upsurped?

I still love and own strat type guitars by Suhr, Anderson, Tyler, Thorn, Grosh, etc., but this one just sounds better to me, and (for me) plays better -this neck is exactly how I would spec it out if I were to build.
