Blues:

The Vicky did real well. Outdoor, school parking lot. Trio, no drums. Indoors, we're quite controlled on volume. Out there, a different story. This is a loud amp for the wattage. I used clean boost, reverb, delay. Playing a partscaster tele with minihum in the neck, and the old strat. You dig in, pick harder, the notes get wider. A lot of FAT in the sound. Like my Gibson GA40 of the same wattage, it lets you get notes on the edge of feedback and just hold it there. Not harsh at all, depth and clarity in the cleans. The circuit and tubes match up just about perfectly with this Emi Legend 151. I may try other speakers, but doubt I'll do better.

It's inspiring. Slide up loud with the strat was the highpoint of the day. Big notes just hanging in the air. What a cool amp!!!

Wow, I almost started a thread yesterday asking the same question.

Louis Electric Tremblux is the only modern 5G9 equivalent I've seen.

Thanks, sounds like it gives up what I love about Victorias.
They deliver & inspire too.

It's my understanding that the cabinet is around, if not the same as, the Tweed Pro size.
Is it the same?
I know you've had both now.

I like the feature sets on those Keedy amps. Thanks for the head up. Anybody have any experience with those?

Blues:
It's actually larger.

From their site:
-Cabinet Size(HxWxD): 21.5”x23”x10.5” (Trem de la Trem)
-Cabinet Size(HxWxD): 20.5”x22”x10.5” (35115)

I happen to have a left over D2F cover for a tweed twin. Which almost fits the TDLT, except it's an inch too short, and and inch or two too wide.

And yes, I have owned the 35115. Excellent amp in so many ways. The TDLT is a bit different. Gainier, more drive available earlier. It's somewhere between the tweed pro and tweed deluxe. The bigger cab and 15" ceramic speaker separate it from the tweed deluxe, though it's still cathode bias. It's hard to argue with the versatility of the 35 watt tweeds, but this TDLT has a raw edge I don't hear in the more refined, more powerful amps. One thing I do know ... it's hard to go wrong with Victoria stuff. Everything I have owned or tried, excellent.

I build one called the Tremolush TM. The cabinet is a little bigger and I changed the Instument channel to be a bit less bassy so it doesn't get flabby when you crank it. It's full of Sozo's, Heyboer transformers and a Weber Alnico speaker. PM me if interested.

I have the privilege of playing through one where we practice, every time we practice. A killer amp that I unfortunately don't own. The clarity and sweetness!

I do not agree with the assessment though as the chassis is a mess. $1500 would be too much IMO.

Highly commend David's Tremolush, which was modeled after my '58 5G9 and nails it in exhaustive tests!

I had a used one 4-5 years ago that was build by Clark. He only has built a few as far as I know. The amp was just awesome. Cabinet was bigger than a tweed super from what I remember.

I picked one of these up a couple of months ago...it's my favorite amp of all time.

Raw, organic and incredibly responsive - just full of character! Not polished by any means and the tone is amazing. Probably one of the few amps I've played which sounds great all the way up and down the volume control.

To me, it represents what a tweed amp should sound (and feel) like.
