Looking for a tech to assemble a kit....

Does anyone know of an amp tech who would do a Weber kit assembly for me for a Reverb Unit? Does anyone have an idea of what this service might cost? Thanks in advance for the help guys!

How you filled out one of these?

http://www.weberorders.com/kitquote.htm

Quite a few of the smaller builders, even those with their own products will build a Weber kit for you.

This is straight off the cuff, believe getting some of the Tweed amp kits built ran $300-400 for labor, depending on difficulty. I would *expect* a Revibe to be toward the bottom or lower than that, but that's entirely up to whoever offers to build it for you.

Wow, I didn't even see that form. Thank you so much! I've been wanting to pick up another reverb unit and when I seen that Weber has a kit with Harmonic Vibrato, I got pretty excited. Seems like a lower cost version of Victoria's Reverbarato. I once owned a Reverbarato and it sounded great but I'd hate to drop the $1500 required to buy another.

I'd (just me maybe) *much* rather build a 5E3 or even a 5F8 kit than build a re-vibe or Tore-vibe. Very difficult build, lots of parts and "below the board" jumper wires, very cramped and tight fit, very difficult to troubleshoot and both can be sensitive to lead dress and wire location.

FWIW (I've built several for $250-300 labor, and would be reluctant to do it again)

First thing I thought when I saw the price query was "...grab your ankles, that's a tough build there"

Look at the build photos, and if I recall the Weber kits all have a "difficulty rating", and that one's right up there iirc.

Looks that way.

Very Complex. Many stages that are interactive, multiple power supply filter poles, many tone and volume controls, effects, dense circuitry that is prone to noise and distortions if the wiring is not routed properly. Suggest the builder enlist the assistance of a veteran kitbuilder or electronics technician.
Oh wow, this is an "ugh!"I had never looked at this circuit before.

There's a guy on here who builds kits for people at no charge and he uses prisoners in jail. They've done some nice builds. Sorry but I cant remember his name.

Seriously? Great use for the incarcerated but there's still considerable time and effort required for the guy who has to orchestrate the operation.

Oh yeah! I know that guy. He works for the dept of corrections so he DOES get paid.

Pretty cool, constructive way to actually help rehabilitate someone.

Some even commit "highway robbery" or can "kill the tone" of an amp!
