I'm hoping to try some EV's (not sure which model exactly) pretty soon.

Right now I'm running through stereo VHT power amp, and 2 1x12's. I do not get the added benefit of the speaker sims, but as another poster said, I'm finding PLENTY of the tones I need in this set up. I've got some older Mackie and JBL monitors which I have tried, but my initial thought was that they were a little hollow sounding... I just need to spend some time tweaking to give them a fair shake. IF I was to go FRFR, I'd probably want to go all in on some top of the line monitors like the RCF stuff.

Mostly I go traditional because I already have the stuff and the money invested in this set up, but I am curious to give FRFR and run and then I'll be able to make a better decision going forward.
