Really like that. Love the sound of a tele in jazz, and great playing.

Wonderful up-swing take on Miles' classic. Rhythm section has it in the pocket the whole way.

And your playing is spot-on with placement, phrasing and tone.

I know we're not supposed to use this area for equipment-demo, but what amp are you using? Wonderful clean with lots of presence and snap!

Thanks so much!
I am using a pretty simple set up, a custom shop tele, fulltone fulldrive mosfet and an eventide space reverb. I am running it through a big old Roland jazz chorus 120 that belongs to the club. I am actually using a bit of overdrive on this clip, but it might still sound pretty clean. The tele is pretty dark-sounding but I can get some snap out of it when I need it.
Thanks again.

Thanks man!
I think the JC has a great clean sound, with a good overdrive pedal you can get some good sounds as well. It doesn't respond the same way as a great tube amp of course.

I played one for many years. The best sound I ever got from it was using just the power section and speakers. I went from the direct out of a tube amp into a stereo reverb and then into the main in's in the back of the Roland. It bypasses all the controls, of course, but what a sound!

Sounds like an interesting set-up!

Hey Jostein -

Nice playing , and nice tone too.

Your feel is great - nice and relaxed, but interesting and harmonically rich, so it's a very nice listen. Wonderful ideas!

Great job, thanks, Dana O
