guitar humming

Recently built a warmoth strat with mahogany body and neck. I wired in some dimarzios as well as a liberator and a LP 3 way switch. I thought everything was soldered well. No dull looking joints(all very shiny). When I plugged the guitar in it started humming alot, touching the volume knob only amplified the humming. I dont think I botched the soldering but possibly mixed up the wiring. has anyone ever had this issue? I suspect I may have reversed the output wiring.

BTW, the trem is grounded so I 'm pretty sure thats not the issue. However, I didnt shield the inside.

It's a metal volume knob? You may have reversed the wires on the jack. That would make the buzz get louder when you touch the strings or bridge, too.

It's easy to check with a meter; it should read zero resistance between the jack sleeve and the "grounded" bridge.
