Actually I think the bridge pickup is a humbucking pickup as used in the discontinued Sierra series guitars. I've seen Joe Walsh using this pickup as well.

Yes, it could have been, he had Ric do it. He said "he wanted a hotter bridge for lead" the Higains are great for lead, but I want to go for a classic sound on my neck.

My Broilers come tomorrow, it looks easy enough to get them in. After playing my new 330, i don't care for the stock neck pup. I can get a nice Ric tone with both pups on. But being a Gibson guy, I use my volume knobs a lot. I like that the Broiler bridge is hotter than the neck. I'm really looking forward to hearing them.

I got my guitar back, I love these pickups. The neck is warm and smooth, there's bite at the bridge. My tech used to work as a tech at Norm's Rare Guitars, he said it nails the vintage Rick sound. His words "you can't beat Lollar stuff" I'm delighted.

Very cool.
Actually makes an option available to those that want the tone, but maybe in a different body shape.
