Why doesn't MXR make a new envelope filter??

Their vintage envelope filter (pic below) gets some pretty good comments, quite often... why isn't there another version of this guy in their lineup? I'm also a bass player & their latest bass filter is just flat-out RIGHT. It's awesome & extremely simple to dial in.

I like what they are doing with the custom modified series of pedals too... a custom modified filter should be built!

I'll 2nd this! I have one of the original MXR's and love it to death. Literally to death, because it's barely hanging on anymore.

The few video clips I've heard were nice... I'd love to see a comeback kid version of this pedal. Keep it simple with the 2 big knobs, but maybe add a couple lil trim pots for some variances/blends/flavors.

MXR's last dose of bass specific pedals were a HUGE hit. I think their Custom Modified line is also doing well, I know I sure like my M-77 (CMBAOD).

Wilson Effects' Envelope Phollower is based on the MXR Filter.

I see what you did there.... My bad. Either way, I'd like to see the MXR brand have an envelope filter in the lineup.

I initiated a lil discussion with the folks at the Jim Dunlop facebook page (no clue who I was hearing from).... Basically I was told they were gonna revisit the topic with Jeorge Tripps, but in a nutshell - envelope filters just aren't big sellers. Maybe I'll hear back about the discussion with Jeorge.

Why won't they release a reissue? My guess would be that everyone will just complain it isn't as good as their older one, like they do with most of the Mxr reissue pedals. So they figured, why bother.

Tell me more! I've been waiting to hear from someone who's used it on a guitar. How does it compare to others? Is it vocal,quick,slow,warm,Jerry-like,funky etc. etc....

I was not impressed with the new MXR M-82 bass env filter for my 6 strings... But I'll revisit that use next week & report back here.
