NAGD - Another Guild

Brand new F-50 Standard in sunburst. It is ****ing awesome -- Great volume, strong bass but so clear and the topend rings like a bell. I've never heard an acoustic with maple back and sides sound so rich. A lot of them I've played have lacked bass and were kinda too top-endy. I guess the jumbo size and arched back really help. Traded my '83 Martin 00-18 for it - I love it. They are really turning out some amazing guitars in New Hartford. Bought a beautiful F-47r not long ago too. I'm a full on Guild guy now -- I own three of now.

Shitty cell phone pics

Cool

well, you are right... those are pretty poor pictures!!!

Looks to be quite the instrument... I've only played one of the F-50's, and that was back in the early 70's... but, for the past 33 years, my go-to acoustic (and ONLY 6 string acoustic for 32 of those years!) has been my Mark Angus #35, built in 1979 to the exact shape of a Guild F-40...

She's a great one, through all I've put her through over the years... maple b/s, German Black Forest spruce top, Florentine cutaway...

If your F-50 sounds ANYTHING like my Angus, you will be one happy camper for many years to come!

Congratulations on your new guitar!!! I guess I'm going to have to check out those new Guilds now...

play on..........................................>

John

Congrats! Looks like a beautiful guitar. My main acoustic is a Westerly, RI Guild JF30. It has been a perfect guitar for me - in the living room, stage and studio.
I've often thought of checking out some of the newer Guilds as well.

Thanks for posting!

Singer songwriter Steve Gillette played a F 50 for years. Amazing what sounds he could get from that guitar.

Haha,..yeah -- terrible cell pics -- I'll put some proper pics up soon.

Your Angus is beautiful and I bet it sounds amazing.

I have two newer Guilds from Hartford and a '07 D-50 from the Tacoma factory. They're all excellent guitars each with a unique voice.
