Suhr Korina Flame.....?

Anybody see the new Korina Flame by Suhr?

I'm GASing badly for one! Can't get much info though due to John's site still being a bit loose on info. Already called my local dealer to find some info out on it but he only sells John's pedals and amps :O

Can't get an actual link but it's on suhrguitars.com

That's great but I'm confused at what makes this different than just spec'ing it out that way. You couldn't just order this normally?

Not sure but I haven't seen any Suhr's with the Maple top this thin, at least from what's on this forum.

Hopefully John can chime in soon

They're the Korina version of the S3 Mahogany run.

I love these however I would probably end up ordering a custom so I could get a color of my choice. Actually I would probably ditch the maple top and pickguard. Love me some korina!

Somthing like Fusionbears..

This new "model" is simply a run of 70 we start building in Oct. We put a lot of time and research into the specs and came up with a very versatile and beautiful instrument. The DSH bridge pickup with V60LP singles really matches up perfectly with the Chambered Korina body. Something about how the Chambering removes some mids that the DSH and V60LPs puts back... its hard to explain. It must heard and felt to be completely appreciated! They should start landing in stores in Nov or so. I might have to bring one home for a while, ya know, purely for research of course....

I'd like to see what a tortoise shell guard and zebra humbucker would do for that Bengal Burst.

No these aren't S4/S5 variants.

Sure it is a great guitar. BTW: Never held a Suhr I didn't like. But it seems to me, that it could be spec'd easily enough. (Besides, the pickups are the same as my current standard, which are amazing in their ash/maple configuration. Preferance for a wide nut would probably have me going custom anyway, like I had to with the standard...;-)
