YMMV

It's subtle, but I hear the buffer. Best...H

I really miss the modulation on that pedal. Fantastic.

have you tried changing the output mode? i edited my last comment to include information about that. i figure it's worth a shot to ask in the off-chance it may help someone out.

I roll with a Timeline and an El Cap now. But any up-and-coming player, I point them to the DD-20. If I ever make a "mini" board, that might make its way back on there.

100% agree with the Strymon....i hear a major difference though between the 2. I'm waiting for Boss's follow up as the DD-20 technology as its like 7 years old. Bet it kicks the DD-20's butt

I would be interested to hear if there are any mods as well though, just because I like my DD-20 so much. Anybody run there's in a true-bypass loop? Notice any difference compared to the buffered bypass?
yeah, I tried everything including changing the output mode. It definitely helped, but the noise floor was still unacceptably high. I actually did some research on this and a quick google search revealed that a lot of people had the same problem. I just did a quick search for any mods and didn't find any immediately. I know that the GE-7 (equalizer) had noise issues due to cheap components that could easily be modded. Not sure if that's the same case for the DD-20, which seems to be in a little different class, but, who knows.

My DD-20 has always been silent, as have the DD-20's of everyone else I know who owns one... I've never even heard of a noise issue until this thread.

I love the El Capistan, but the DD20 is a great delay. The boss is an affordable, well constructed, easy to use delay that delivers good effect
