My band's prog rock track (new mix)

We are releasing our debut EP soon, realized we were in over our heads in the mixing department. All tracking was done in my buddy's living room. I do everything on this but drums. Mixing was accomplished by Thaddeus Corea (Chick's son). Let me know what you think! http://www.heavymeta.net

Very Opeth/Steven Wilson-esque! Really nice though; good vocals, no instruments are overpowering...

Thanks for sharing!

Great track ! I love the song and the arrangement, especially the vocal arrangement !

It's great that your work is getting mixed by Chick's own son !

From my generic computer speakers it sounds like the mix could use a bit of crispness and it sounds as if the low end was a bit conflicted, nothing a bit of careful equing can't fix.

Can't wait to hear the rest !

Thanks! Yeah overall it's pretty bassy. We were using an old 70s Apollo MIJ bass that had absolutely no zing to it. Future efforts should be a bit better, but Thaddeus did a hell of a job considering the tracking we gave him!
