Laney VH100R Update!!!

Hey guys! I just wanted to take the time to say thank you! With your help, we diagnosed that the amp had a bad output transformer. I replaced it with a JTM45 Reissue transformer that I had been saving for a Plexi 50 build up.

Well, after a little hard work and being super careful not to mess things up, I got the amp back together and working...pretty much without flaw. I still have the PI issue but I think that can be only resolved with new ceramic sockets...which will be installed over the next week or so. Also, it has a nasty squeel when the PI is jiggled around and making full contact so that I get full output. Again, I think that is the PI socket issue.

But I am glad to report that the Laney is functional and OMG this amp is retarded loud. Its just running 50W too! I am still going to order a replacement OT though because I want it back to stock as much as I can. Anyone have suggestions? It just needs to be a reliable 100W transformer. Anyone have any ideas about Hoffman's transformers?
