Lower-Gain Alternative to OCD v.3?

I just picked up an OCD v.3. I like the quality of the gain/distortion, but it's really got at least twice as much gain as I need. I can't fathom a situation where I'd turn the gain past 11 o'clock.

Is there a pedal out there that excels at a lower-gain, uncompressed distortion? I just want some light to moderate, pick-sensitive crunch and note bloom.
