Trying out for a band

Kind of a fusion Celtic/Rock/other kind of band. Music sounds pretty interesting and they seem pretty cool. Talked with one of them and we'll see how it goes when we meet.

Haven't played bass in a band for quite a while, but hopefully my chops have come back to me enough to make it work. I sold my old bass a while ago to pay rent, but a couple months ago I got a new one.

Been playing mostly scales and patterns mostly on the low frets, re-familiarizing myself with bass in general and my sixer in particular. It's interesting -- I can be a lot more lazy with this bass because it's fretted rather than fretless, but I also have more ground to cover because it's 6 strings rather than four. It's a lot more comfortable to play than most 4-stringers too (for me).

I will let you all know how it goes, and welcome advice of any kind. :RoCkIn
