Is it better to spend $ on a buffer or high quality cable?

Currently I have 20' Lavaman Gepco GLC 20 going into a triple looper; loops wired with George L's; looper out to 20' Lavaman Gepco GLC 20 into Bogner XTC. XTC loop wired with 10' no name cable.
I am looking for opinions on the best way to upgrade the signal path. Spend $135 on Evidence Lyric HG for the front of the amp into looper or Axess Bs-2 at around the same price?
