Grissom is one of my all-time favorite players. Definitely in my top ten. I saw him with the Allman Brothers back in (I think) the early '90's, when Dickey Betts was in rehab and Grissom and Zakk Wylde were taking turns filling in for him. Best version of "In Memory Of Elizabeth Reed" I've ever heard. He and Warren Haynes both killed that night.

I love that comment about true bypass pedals. It's so easy to get caught up in minor details and forget that we have to just play.

I love his rig but what does he do for clean tones?? Nothing I guess since he seems to always play with some grit. I'd love to run a marshall based rig like that but I actually like to play SQUEAKY clean (but still fat) sometimes.

Also how the HELL is he running his delay??? I refuse to believe that delay can sound that good in front of an amp with that much drive. He must be using the badcat as a wet dry rig. I defy anyone to dial a marshall with that much gain put a delay in front of it and make it sound that good

As far as I'm aware, his Badcat is set gritty but not dirty and his delay is before the input. Any more gain seems to come from his Fulltone fat boost or his Fulldrive.

DG is absolutely one of my favorites, and has been since I first heard of him in the 80s.

No it's just in front of the amp. He does not play with as much gain as you think.
Those clips were just the little pedal board right into the Bad cat.
