I keep returning to my TS9 with Keeley mods for my OD needs. Great pedal. Highly recommended.

How would you compare it to other TS's?

Have you compared it to an MJM Blues Devil?

standard mods: increased bass, less mid honk, more gain on tap, less compression, etc. It's described in his web site: http://www.robertkeeley.com/product.php?id=31

I had and like both, but I kept the MJM BD. I thought the Keeley had more gain than the MJM BD, but I thought the MJM BD was a little smoother. I Would have kept them both if there weren't so many pedals out there to try :-)

I've had all the Keeley TS modded pedals at one time or another and my favorite was the TS9DX. The mini-toggle along with the four different types of gain made it my favorite Keeley Modded Ibanez Pedal.

What other TS's have I used? Just the unmodded TS-808 and unmodded TS-9. I have a Keeley TS-9 on the way to although I have been told they sound nearly identical, which is fine because I may stack them.

Before I got the Keeley TS-808 my favorite OD of all time was The Home Brew Power Screamer.

If you can ever get your hands on one, get the Jersey Girl Fulltender. The best OD I've ever played. Nails SRV! I stack it with my TS-9 and I have a wonderful tone. I also have the TS-9 Modded, but I'm not that impressed with it, nor the Voodoo lab sparkle drive. I do love my original TS-10 however. It is voiced differently from the other TSs and is a real keeper. I love the MJM BD also...its a keeper as well. I'm willing to make a deal on the Keeley moded TS-9 and the Sparkle Drive?

Cheers,

Mike

I have a Baked Keeley TS-9 and a Blues Devil. Both are great, but the Blues devil has a lot less bass response than the TS-9. I haven't found anything better than the Keeley.

I've had a Keeley Ts-9 for a long time and it's a fantastic pedal. I couldn't imagine ever getting rid of it.
