Axe Fx/Bogner Fish - amp head solution

Been using the Axe Fx for a while, but couldn't resist the reissue Fish. Point of thread is a lot of guys are saying that they don't like the Axe because it doesn't have knobs like an amp head to tweak while on playing live. So, I'm thinking about seeing how the Fish sounds running it the 4 cable method into the Axe, using the cab sims like a Palmer/Red Box into FRFR. (may even try the Fish with a Palmer into FRFR just to hear that as well)

Anyone doing something like this? Would solve the knob tweaking scenario. I've got a CAE 3+ and SE 3+, but haven't tried this. Has anybody else? Hoping the 6.0 update in the Axe has a assignable noise gate so I could use it on the loop of the Axe with this - I think they maybe the biggest draw back - noise.

Interested to hear what you guys think. :AOK
