Electric Mistress ...so close !

Man, I have been watching an auction for a vintage 18v Electric mistress on evil Bay for a week and got out bid in the last 5 seconds !!! So frustrating , I have been lusting for that Gilmour tone circa "Animals " since the album came out !! The Deluxe model just doesn't quite hit the mark , the XO stereo model isn't even in the ball-park . I might have to settle for a Polychorus , good but different . Any one have one that they want to sell ? I have been searching the emporium ... alas no luck !

I went through quite a few other pedals to try and get that sound...in the end I'm still using the original non-Deluxe EH Electric Mistress.

Looks excellent, but I am very surprised he's building those with SAD1024 BBD chips still, those things are pretty much extinct at this point.

Agreed! Hartman Flanger. Make sure it is one of the more recent versions...no volume drop.

Thanks for the suggestions everyone ! Hey TheLemon , I searched the emporium and couldn't find an Electric Mistress , several Deluxes , but not the earlier version . Can you point me in the right direction please ? Thanks . Belmont, the differences in the tone , the Deluxe is more metallic sounding , for lack of a better word , it always makes me think of Goth music from the eighties , like Bauhaus , although I'm not sure if they used one ! the original has a more fluid , textural , almost chorus like modulation . Check out Pink Floyd "Animals" or Early Police

I'm looking for this kind of sound to. I understand it's hard to have the same sound (Gilmour) without an Electric Mistress??? I was looking for an Eventide Modfactor because I want to do all the Pink Floyd modulation with one unit.... impossible???

DG used the Deluxe right after the Animals album,I've had mine for years and never thought of it as metalic sounding,yes you can get metalic sounds out of it like any flanger,but overall one of the best flangers around.the non-deluxe has me intrigued,I really want to compare them now,I always assumed it was the same circuit.
