DOD FX22 Vibro Thang...rather obscure

Anyone ever use one of these? There seems to be a love/hate thing going on with them from what I've read.

I have an opportunity to pick up a new old stock, USA made for 50 bucks...wondering if it's worth it. The concept is cool...vibrato+phaser for a Leslie effect...haven't played one though.
