Low noise OD/Distortion/Fuzzes?

One thing that really bothers me to no end (specially with the Strat) is the noise I get when I step on OD pedals...specially when using more than one simultaneously...with a Distortion of Fuzz I'm ok with it since I guess it kinda comes with the territory, but with an OD that adds just a tad bit of hair to a clean sound it is quite bothersome IMO. I have to stand to the noise of the SCs, plus the noise coming from the amp and then the noise from the pedals...I kinda feel like I'm playing for Sonic Youth!!

Now I don't care about noise that much I guess...it's Rock N' Roll after all, ya dig? But sometimes it does get overbearing...

I'm not really picky about pedals either...I like most of the ones I've played since I'm the kinda guy that believes the amp (and of course the player) holds the most of a player's sonic signature.

I like the flatter sounding ODs that give a bit of hair but don't really flip an EQ switch, and at other times I feel like just using a clean boost and getting a somewhat transparent boost, yet sometimes I dig the mid push/bass cut of a TS style overdrive. I also sometimes end up grabbing the DS-1/DS-2 for extra kick and buzzyness. That one's (the DS-1) waiting for mods though (Thinking of a Keeley-ish mod to it)....and I'm waiting to get my hands on a Fuzzface-ish pedal as well...I think they're just diferent colors...but ok enough rambling!
