JangleBox question

I am using this pedal mostly in Bright mode to help nail the Beatles, Byrds, REM, Petty sound. I am currently using the "special" 9vdc adapter (center pin positive). Question is can the pedal be powered with the standard VL Pedal Power cords, or do I need something different? If so where can I get one.

Also, I am running the pedal first in my pedal-chain and it seems quite noisy??? Especially if I combine it with my Mini-Deja Vibe??? What is up with that???
