That thought has certainly crossed my mind. I have a luthier friend who could probably do the whole guitar and then hit it with a clear nitro, call it a day. If I were to do that, I'd want to go ahead and sort out some Lollars as well (or rather have him rewind these pups as his don't fit into the MIK Casinos unfortunately...).

Maybe I should just play guitar? Nah...

Half of the fun of guitar is shopping...

I suggest playing AND shopping!

Oh, man. I'm right there with you. I bought a MIK Epi Sheraton at the beginning of the year. I bought mine as a project, upgraded everything - pickups, electronics, hardware, tuners, the works. I love it, it's my main player, the one that sounds best with my band. I've also got some nice USA made guitars as well and I keep thinking, I set all these aside for this Korean thing! Wouldn't a real 335 be even better!?!?!?!? Can't get the thought out of my head.

Someone once said the Sheraton is the gateway to 335-junkiedom. I now agree totally.

Sorry I don't have any advice for you.

Just for a slightly different flavor, why don't you look into one of those new Gibson ES 330s? I haven't played one but I've heard some good things.
