i've never been a fan of Jeter's because of the "God Like" treatment he receives here by the NY media but i've gained a lot of respect for him lately..the guy just goes on going on.. he's one of the most realiable hitter i can remember and always seems to comes up with the big play when you need it

I was thinking last night how many sure fire and potential HOFers were are on these two teams. Seems like quite a few. A-Rod, Rivera and Jeter seem to be locks. Damon and Posada come close but probably won't get there. CC has HUGE potential (yes it was intentional), as does Tex.

On the other side, there is Lee (same boat as CC imo), Utley is beginning to make his case, let's see where Howard winds up by the time he has to move over to the AL to DH, could be another Frank Thomas. Lidge is #40 on saves list, so no go. What about Moyer? 41st all time in wins. Anyone?

i would think both Pedro and Pettite have a shot at making it in also?? no?

Pettite is the all-time winningest pitcher in Major League Baseball postseason history just a head of John Smolz

and most all-time series-clinching victories with five -- breaking a tie with Roger Clemens, Catfish Hunter and Dave Stewart.... 6 if he manages to win tonite also

( guess we'll have to wait and see if the steroid thing hurts his chances of getting in..i guess time will tell )
