3 words I'm really tired of hearing

In this economy.

Getting way over-used, especially by people trying to get something for nothing.

That's exactly redundant

The economy is like life....ups and downs, ebbs and flows. You just gotta roll with the punches and give it your all everyday. Give 110% and eventually the tide will change. It is what it is and if you stay positive good things will happen.

I wonder if everyone started saying, "The economy's on the up!" if it would, in fact, start to come back around.

We're all victims of pop culture. Whatever the news says, people believe and in effect, start to do.

I'm no expert but I think you hit the nail on the head. Perception is reality to some extent. And when people dont trust\invest in the economy I believe the economy reflects that. Obviously thinking optimistic alone wont truly fuel it but it has to start there doesnt it?

Because of the state of the economy I now use "I used to" quite often.

IN THIS ECONOMY - I lost my real job a while ago - just like the other 13-14% of people where I live.

IN THIS ECONOMY - I learned how to do something I never imagined I would do - Apply for unemployment.

IN THIS ECONOMY - I've rolled with it and never looked for the pity party.

IN THIS ECONOMY - I'm fortunate to have a wife that can carry us.

IN THIS ECONOMY - I put a 4 year old to bed last night who asked me when I thought I might be going back to work.

IN THIS ECONOMY - I have less patience for assholes and ignorance yet before hitting "Submit Reply" I've managed go back, edit and remove anything that I might regret saying.
