It's too bad that they get lumped in with "Nu-metal" and because of this are instantly assumed to be terrible. They've really got their stuff together as a band. Great music

At first I lumped them in with the nu-metal, but at some point I heard one of their songs and started to wonder how the hell they come up with this stuff. I've listened to quite a bit and still have no clue where these ideas come from. I'm really curious to see what their writing sessions were like. Somehow they get these random banging and screaming parts to work.

On a side point, I think Metallica was trying to imitate System with St. Anger.
They failed.

I really liked their first album. I remember seeing them live years ago. They opened for Snot, Incubus and Soulfly. Soulfly headlined. Imagine that.....

Anyways, there were about 10 other people there to see SOAD. This was at the Boathouse in Norfolk, VA. I think it holds like 1500 people. Was a great show.
