Dwayne got fired on stage by Kelly Clarkson.

Ouch.

Well, he went out on a blaze of glory. Don't feel sad for him, Kelly's swan song already provided the violins. This has to rank up there for Worse Ways to get the Boot from a Band.

Whether you dig her or not, that's a top touring gig right there....

....and if I was a prospective employer, after that BS, you can bet "Dwayne" would have his resume specially set aside so I always knew where it was.......in the circular file.

I don't understand what his offense was to get canned there...was he upstaging her?

On another note, it's nice to know she's not just a Pro Tools lip synch show...

And wow does that suck to get singled out like that...rough...

I'm curious to see what he did to "disrespect" her fans. Did I miss something?

Not only did it happen in 2005, Dwayne's a friend of mine and he's doing quite fine on his own writing his own music and producing. He's a devoted husband and father of two and one of the most generous guys you'll ever meet. He's close to tons of people within the industry (everyone from Pat Wilkins to Fred at Divided by 13 and Nashville studio cats). This hasn't affected him at all. He's produced several albums since then and formed a spectacular band that you'll soon hear about.

He flipped off the audience. That's a sweet money gig. I gotta give him props for going out with a bang. The jump off the drum riser was priceless

That's one gruesome sendoff, man, glad to hear Dwayne shook it off. I'd still have the night sweats if that happened to me.

So...what did he do to prompt the firing?
