ROLL TIDE!

Bama wins the national championship tonight!

Ingram is a beast. I hope McCoy is OK. He is a class guy and a superb leader and athlete. Shipley will be playing on Sundays.

My gig tomorrow night in Mobile, AL will be wild!

17 years ago, my wife was not feeling well. She went to bed and my 3 month old daughter was already asleep. That was 1992, and Bama's last national championship. They missed the end of the game. Tonight, my wife went to bed early and my daughter came in from work and went to bed before the game ended. Just like old times.

And Bama won again! This time, I was not alone, but with my 15 year old son and we celebrated in a big way. Good, good times.

Now back to reality, where one of my best buds has just had a large cancerous tumor removed. Pray for my friend Jerry. In a sea of piece of shit men today, this guy has been a leader of young men and nearly a saint. He coaches, volunteers, and has a family.. Horrible pain sent him to the ER on 12/30. They found a tumor and he was operated on yesterday. Keep him in your prayers.

Live your life! Rejoice in the good times, and man up for the bad ones.

Well done, Tide.

At least it had an exciting finish.

Guess what? He didn't play. Thats football. Bama's defense was stout most of the game. The had a little to do with Colt not being in the game. RTR.

You can never tell.. even with Colt in on the first drive.. they couldn't put the ball in the end zone...

I think Texas was able to score some in the second half, because Bama just wasn't as worried or focused when Gilbert was in there... just like Texas lost some emotion when Colt went out.. Bama came out in the second half a bit flat, thinking we are up pretty big.. now we just have to hold on..

The problem with running an offense where the QB does run the ball, is they can/will take some big hits.... and when you are playing in the MNC game, some of those hits might be huge!

guess you'll never know. You can also say that if Ingram hadn't left the game for as long as he did in the second half it may have been a bigger beating. Funny thing about sports, you can just never predict such things. I agree, it would have been a much closer game if McCoy did not get hurt. Yes, Gilbert managed to help bring the game to within 3 points, but at that point it seemed Bama had kind of fallen asleep. When the game got close they stopped playing around put the hammer down.

I'm not really a fan of either team but was bummed when McCoy went down because I love to watch great college football, no matter who the teams are. But going into the game, I felt that if Bama played like they did against Florida then Texas didn't have a shot. Bama played well but not as well as they did against Florida (just my opinion). Ingram was great but McElroy didn't look as good as he did against the Gators. Would've been fun to see McCoy play the whole game but he didn't and Texas couldn't rise to the occasion. In a team sport, one player should never make that much of a difference in a game (again, just my opinion).

Would things have been different for Texas in the regular season if Sam Bradford hadn't been injured? Was anybody in Texas really upset by that or feel their win over Oklahoma was tainted this year? I doubt it...they took the win, right? I don't live there or read the papers there...it might very well be the case. Someone in Texas can tell me if it is so.

You can go on and on with if's and but's, but you know what they say about those...

Gilbert played a great game in the 2nd half...and Alabama completely fell asleep in the 3rd and much of the 4th quarters....BUT...they beat the rest of the Texas team. I agree with the post above, in a team sport one player should never mean that much.

Yeah; if you took Peyton Manning away from the Colts, Drew Brees away from the Saints, Brett Favre away from the Vikes, Aaron Rodgers away from the Packers or Sanchez away from the Jets, those teams would hardly feel the effect at all.

That is true. It's just the nature of t-sips. They'll cry unfair from here to Austin about that game, but it was all high fives and "We whipped their ass!" when they beat Oklahoma.

Lots of mistakes in that game. Kinda sloppy and don't think it was that great of a game. It's always who knows? if Colt was in there. Texas gave away 2TD to Bama.

If you lose your star QB, you're not going to have much of a chance.

1 player can make the difference.

If Vince Young would of went down, Texas would not have won that last championship.

Great players make great plays. That makes all the difference in tight games.
